Bio

Tom started playing drums at the age of 16 and after finishing his formal education in Royal Tunbridge Wells decided to move away and study Drums full time. He packed up and headed for Coventry; a town known mostly for it’s confusing ring road, lack of trees, and The Enemy. After completing his studies he joined the faculty at Nexus Institute of Creative Arts, a Higher Education establishment where he lectured for five years on Popular Music. Tom is now located in London where he works as a full time musician and band manager.

Since 2008, Tom’s drumming has taken him around the world as both a performer and band leader. Most recently some of Tom’s portfolio has included; live performances and product demonstrations for NORD at the NAMM Show in LA and Musikmesse in Germany, a USA tour with The Moment, and a string of three album recordings for originals artist ‘Yakobo’ at Vale Studios in Worcestershire.

Tom is the founder, band manager and house drummer of ‘Function Fever’ a Midlands based Function Band with thousands of performaces under their belt. Function Fever sees the very best UK session musicians collaborating for shows all across Europe. For more on Function Fever see the links page.

Tom also is the band manager of ‘Digital Swing’, a groundbreaking 6-piece band that perform an eclectic mix of of 30’s swing music and modern day electro. For more on Digital Swing see the links page.

Tom’s portfolio continues to expand with studio experience for originals artists, function bands & most recently TV advertisements. And as well as his experience in band management Tom is well known for depping in with other bands and he regularly plays with many other function bands and originals bands projects, in styles ranging from jazz to disco to 80’s rock.
